UpaDowna will be with you along the way! \nUpaDowna’s Pedal Party was created to provide an opportunity for cyclists of all ages and abilities to ride together in a safe and fun environment while teaching the basics of bicycling safety\, etiquette\, and rules of the road. In alignment with the mission of the Summit Series Programs\, Pedal Party was designed to empower individuals to reach new goals for their health and wellness and to challenge their comfort zone while also find camaraderie among the community while riding amongst the red sandstone in Garden of the Gods. \nFamilies with young children? Take our short .5 mile ride to the John Blair Bridge and back followed by a post-ride treat for our Little Bikers! \nNeed a Bike?: Rental bikes and helmets will be provided by UpaDowna and Criterium Bicycles. There are a limited number of rental bikes available per ride. Please complete the rental inquiry when registering if you need a loaner bike. \nGet entered to win the end-of-season grand prize brought to you by Arc’Teryx. The more Pedal Parties you attend\, the more entries you receive! Each attended event equals one entry to our grand prize giveaway. DESCRIPTION:“Where Community & Culture Meet” \nJoin us this Sunday\, September 3rd in the taproom for our September Artist Showcase from 4-6 pm featuring Wendy! Wendy will be at the showcase so you can meet her while enjoying her art and a few craft brews! We hope to see you there! \n  \n \nAbout the Artist:\nWendy is a nature and landscape photographer living in Colorado Springs\, Colorado. Her keen eye for photography can be visualized through her ability to capture light and depth\, drama and character of a scene\, which was born out of a deep appreciation and desire to be surrounded by nature. Photography became an early passion\, revealed by her desire to capture a glimpse of the vast landscape. She received her first camera at age ten while visiting her grandparent’s home in Missouri. She enjoyed exploring near her grandparent’s property hiking through the woods\, discovering how to use her first camera. It wasn’t until the digital age of photography that she invested in her first DSLR camera and began researching and learning the art of photography. She cultured the tools to produce an image\, not as a two-dimensional scene on paper\, but she wanted to share the beauty of a scene as it appears to the naked eye\, capturing the full details of the shadows\, lighting\, and color\, drawing the viewer into experiencing a moment of her reality. \nHer daily inspiration comes from the magnificence that surrounds her in Colorado. She is often amazed by the grandeur of the Rocky Mountain landscape\, each time she ventures out or returns to a location\, whether it be the changing seasons\, time of the day\, or the fog lurking over the terrain\, she notices something unique and original. Her love for nature and the outdoors inspired her over the years to take photographs that define experiences and encapsulate the emotion she feels when traveling to various scenic areas. The mountains surrounded by the amazing landscape are the perfect palette to express her artform and ultimately inspire those viewing her work. \nPhotographs portray a lasting connection with the natural elements\, lighting\, emotion\, and events in time. Wendy uses the tools of photography that are crafted in composition and style to create images that awaken the senses to the beauty of visual arts.\nIt is often when immersed in nature that she feels a great appreciation and gratitude for something much greater than herself. It is her hope and desire to inspire others through her images and create an atmosphere of peace and tranquility for the soul through the beauty of our natural environment. Photography is an adventure and Wendy is eager to explore what new path of landscape opportunities awaits her.

Chelsea will be at the showcase so you can meet her while enjoying her art and a few craft brews! We hope to see you there! \nAbout the Artist:\nChelsea Hart is a contemporary painter and muralist based in Denver\, CO. In her work\, Hart explores a variety of subjects through bold colors and a child-like sense of playfulness. Hart received her BA in Visual Studies at Western Kentucky University in 2013. While pursuing her undergraduate degree\, Hart studied abroad at Florence University of the Arts\, where she studied classical painting and ceramics techniques. \nHart has exhibited in numerous galleries\, including Liza Pruitt\, Well + Wonder\, Grand Bohemian in Charleston\, SC\, AuSable Artisan Village in Grayling\, MI and R Gallery in Boulder\, CO. Additionally\, Hart’s work has been featured in publications such as Bloomberg Philanthropies\, Visionary Art Collective\, The Daily News\, Yahoo! News\, The Daily Independent\, Colorado Homes\, Lifestyle Magazine\, Denver Life Magazine\, The Denver Post\, The Arvada Press\, and 303 Magazine. \nHart’s paintings can be found in private collections throughout the United States and in hotels\, restaurants\, and luxury apartment buildings. She has also designed and installed large-scale murals nationwide\, working with diverse communities. When she’s not in the studio\, Hart is gathering inspiration for her work in the lush Colorado landscape.

All in the comfort of Red Leg Brewing Company. The first part of the class will be a basic introduction to fly tying\, the tools used in fly tying\, and some basic techniques to get you started. The second part of the class will then dive into more advanced techniques\, and each student will learn to tie several different types of flies. No experience is necessary\, and we will provide all of the materials for the class. \nThis class is also a great prerequisite to any of our 301 advanced-level fly-tying classes. \nThis class is limited to 10 students per date\, so grab your spot today!
