The second part of the class will then dive into more advanced techniques\, and each student will learn to tie several different types of flies. No experience is necessary\, and we will provide all of the materials for the class.\n\nThis class is also a great prerequisite to any of our 301 advanced-level fly-tying classes.\n\nThis class is limited to 10 students per date\, so grab your spot today! When I’m not homeschooling\, at trap league\, or at book club\, I enjoy taking off-roading trips with my family to beautiful locations around Colorado and Utah in our Polaris razor and camping because it allows me many opportunities to capture the beauty in nature that most people don’t get to see in person. I am also interested in organizing and decorating. I love to study the way our environments affect our moods and health. Chris will be at the showcase\, so you can meet him while enjoying his art and a few craft brews! We hope to see you there! \nAbout the Artist:\nNationally recognized award-winning painter Chris Alvarez\, a New Mexico native\, moved to Colorado in 1988. His work is regionally known for depicting romance in the mundane. Chris’s technique and perspective are influenced by the work of Joaquin Sorolla\, Ken Auster\, Carol Marine\, Kim English\, and David Shevlino. Winner of Plein Air Magaine’s grand prize at Paint Historic Manitou Springs and Best of Show at Victor Celebrates the Arts\, Chris also received local recognition in the April 2016 issue of Springs Magazine as a person who defines art and culture in Colorado Springs. The Alvarez Art School opened in 2011. The art education program covers painting\, drawing\, and seeing techniques and philosophies of art-making and being an artist. In 2019\, The Alvarez Gallery Art School moved to downtown Colorado Springs\, where the program continues to grow. Chris has two children. He enjoys juggling\, birding\, collecting records\, magic\, and the outdoors.

Expect it to be released in the taproom on February 28th in 16 oz cans & on draft! Cheers! \nAbout the Label: This series of labels was heavily inspired by vintage National Parks posters & postcards. With each release\, the scenery will change\, allowing you to collect all the “postcards” throughout the year. While the scenes are not necessarily locations in Colorado\, we wanted to highlight the deeply rooted ties between Colorado\, the outdoors\, and our brewery.

Jenny will be at the showcase\, so you can meet her while enjoying her art and a few craft brews! We hope to see you there! \nAbout the Artist:\nJenny is a nature and wildlife photographer based in beautiful Colorado Springs. Since she was a child\, she has been fascinated by nature and the little things in the world around her. As she traveled and lived all over the world\, not only did she take in all of the grand vistas and landscapes that were presented to me\, but she also took the time to get down on the ground to examine things like moss and lichen growing on the side of a rock or the symmetry of a flower. As she got older\, she used point-and-shoot digital cameras and her phone to capture those moments in nature. After moving to Colorado in 2018\, she took the phone and basic camera up a notch with some better photography equipment and really started to get serious about her photography. Now\, after some online courses\, a few more gear upgrades\, and countless hours and miles exploring and photographing the world\, she’s sharing her view of the world with you.
