SUMMARY:Craft for a Cause : Riders 4 Children
DESCRIPTION:Riders 4 Children\, 5:00pm to 8:00pm\n  \nOrganized by Doug Zurek (Riders 4 Children Founder) the inaugural ride was held on Labor Day weekend\, 2021. With the support of local sponsors and riders\, that ride raised over $16\,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Colorado. \nIn 2022\, the nonprofit organization\, Riders 4 Children\, hosted the motorcycle ride. \nRiders 4 Children aims to align with the mission of nonprofit organizations who focus on the needs of children\, providing support for those facing unforeseen illness and/or are in need of shelter and resources. \nTogether\, Riders 4 Children Board Members\, donated just over $19\,000 to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Colorado\, thanks\, in part\, to the generosity of local sponsors\, donors and attendees. \nAs the event grew\, the Board of Directors has too. In 2023\, Riders 4 Children welcomed two new board members\, and donated $23\,096 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Colorado. With their help\, we are looking for our events to grow even bigger in the coming years. \nThis year\, there will be a new look to the event. The entire event will be held at Pikes Peak Indian Motorcycle. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. We added two more board members to help with this growing event. \nRiders 4 Children is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Teaming up with Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Colorado has been rewarding as we have helped support families with critically ill children during their time of unforeseen medical crisis. \nPlease consider supporting this ride by participating\, being a sponsor and/or with donation/s so we can continue to support families served by Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Colorado. DESCRIPTION:Cost: This is a donation-based event. Recommended $15 donation for a season pass. Make a one time $15 donation and ride with us for the Summer. That’s $1.25 a ride! Minimum $10 donation. *Season Pass does not include bike rental.*Pike Ride & Criterium e-assist bikes = $5/ride. Must be at least 16 years of age.Acoustic bikes (only at Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Lodge) = $5/ride\n\nNeed a Bike?: UpaDowna riders can receive a special discounted rental rate for electric-assist and acoustic bikes! E-assist bikes are available by Pike Ride and Criterium Bicycles for rides starting at Red Leg Brewing Company\, Kinship Landing\, and Goat Patch Brewing. Acoustic (non-electric) bikes are available for rides taking place at Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort. There are a limited amount of rental bikes available per ride. Please select a Rental Bike ticket per week.\n\nAbout Pedal Party: UpaDowna’s Pedal Party was created to provide an opportunity for cyclists of all ages and abilities to ride together in a safe and fun environment while teaching the basics of bicycling safety\, etiquette\, and rules of the road. In alignment with the mission of the Summit Series Programs\, Pedal Party was designed to empower individuals to reach new goals for their health and wellness and to challenge their comfort zone while also find camaraderie among the community.\n\n\n* Special T-Shirt Giveaway to the First 20 Participants to Register*: The first 20 participants to register AND make a $15 donation\, will receive a special edition Pedal Party t-shirt.
