SUMMARY:Workshop: Fly Tying 101/201 with Angler's Covey
DESCRIPTION:Enjoy a craft beer and local food\, and learn how to tie flies. Sounds like the perfect evening to us! \nThis is a great fly tying class for those curious about fly tying\, or those fly tiers that want to expand their skills! All in the comfort of Red Leg Brewing Company. The first part of the class will be a basic introduction to fly tying\, the tools used in fly tying\, and some basic techniques to get you started. The second part of the class will then dive into more advanced techniques\, and each student will learn to tie several different types of flies. No experience is necessary\, and we will provide all of the materials for the class. \nThis class is also a great prerequisite to any of our 301 advanced-level fly-tying classes. \nThis class is limited to 10 students per date\, so grab your spot today! Registration is required \nCost is $30 per person. Register here. \nClass will take place at the brewery from 4pm-6pm. Please come early so you can grab a drink and get settled.

DESCRIPTION:Join us on Sunday\, November 12\, in the taproom for our November Artist Showcase from 4-6 pm featuring Jeff Mallo! Jeff will be at the showcase\, so you can meet him while enjoying his art and a few craft brews! We hope to see you there!\n\nAbout the Artist:\nJeff Mallo retired as an Infantry Senior Non-Commissioned Officer after 27 years serving our great nation. He has deployed to combat operations in Panama\, Haiti\, and Iraq. Jeff is currently based out of Colorado Springs\, Colorado.\n\nArtist Statement\nI love to share the small details of our natural world with people and one of the best ways I have found to do that is with a camera. I try to capture\, not just a picture\, but the behaviors of wild things and share this story with people through my photography. People have lost the intimate connection with nature over time. I find that sitting in the woods or in the water with my camera allows me to restore that connection with myself and others through my images and the stories I share through those images.
